As in previous years the event was well attended, informative and very well organised.
The general feeling around the conference was that the industry is in a good place and looks to continue to be so. The usual Brexit uncertainty was prevalent, but with no clear solution, the general feeling was to watch and see what happens.
Some of the topics being raised were:
- the judicial review by the BH&HPA of the decision to reduce commission rates on the re-sale of Park Home on Welsh Parks;
- ensuring pitch licences are in place and up to date - what happens if they are not;
- warranty claims and how to handle them;
- marketing and social media - increasing traffic to your site;
- VAT, business rates and general tax issues; and
- Managing tribunal claims on pitch fee increases.
There were no specific changes to legislation or any other serious concerns which need specifically highlighting.
